Bristol Bay Events owners Terry and Alannah are local residents with indigenous roots who were raised immersed in the beauty and culture of the region.
When they got engaged in 2018, Terry and Alannah wanted to ensure that the celebration of such a big milestone in life was immersed in everything they loved and valued – family and friends, their Yup’ik and Alutiiq culture, and the majestic beauty of Bristol Bay’s lands and waters. After searching for venue options that would capture their vision and provide a weather-protected space for a large celebration, it became clear that nothing of the sort existed in Bristol Bay. It also became clear that there was a significant lack of services for event planning, support and equipment rentals.
After experiencing these challenges first-hand, Terry and Alannah decided to launch their own business, bringing premiere rental services to the Bristol Bay region for the first time.
The company’s commitment to the sustainability of Bristol Bay, combined with in-depth local expertise, has proven invaluable to a wide range of clients looking to host anything from a birthday party to a trade show to a destination wedding.
